I Need Your Help

Well, it’s another freezing cold day in Indiana. It’s so cold that the majority of schools and all government offices are shut down for the day. The kids that I nanny have the day off of school, and their mom decided to stay home with them, so I get an unexpected day off also! It’s a very nice treat, but I must say, I don’t understand why school is cancelled. Yes, we have temperatures in the negatives, but I’m pretty sure that it was actually colder yesterday, and yesterday they only had a 2-hour delay. Side note — I’m so scared to see our next heating bill!

Taking advantage of my day off, I’ve spent some time cleaning the kitchen and organizing all of our tax forms and bills. Fun stuff, I know ;)! Since I’m in the mood to organize, I thought I’d do a little blog housekeeping too, and I need your help!

I’ve been blogging for three years now, and in those three years, many things have changed. I’ve written about college, job searching, wedding planning, marriage, buying a house, and so many more things. In order to make sure that I’m keeping you engaged, I want you to tell me what keeps you coming back. If you have a minute, please take the anonymous survey below, and tell me what you’d like to see more of (or less of) on Perfection Isn’t Happy. Be honest — it will only help my blog grow!

  1. schools are closed here too. I think it has a lot to do with it being unsafe for school buses (especially if one broke down – kids would be stuck somewhere in the cold) and I know here most kids walk to school downtown, which is also not safe for them in such cold weather.

    1. Yeah, I think you’re right. I would not want to be a bus driver in this weather, especially since the subdivisions are so icy. Scary!!

  2. The schools around here were closed yesterday and today but it was definitely colder here today…I’m hoping they don’t cancel tomorrow too or if anything, then a delay. Our last heating bill wash’t fun so yeah, I’m with you on not wanting to see it…blah!

    1. We keep ours low too — 63 at night and between 66 and 68 (depending on how I’m feeling, haha) during the day! And yet, last month our gas bill was $175! This month might be worse!
