Last night, I had the privilege of watching ‘The Bachelor’ with Jordan. He, of course, likes to talk through the whole thing. Here are some of his thoughts (and I quote):
“Her boobs are so fake.”
“This reminds me of ‘Jaws’.”
“Tierra is a paid actress. That’s why he’s keeping her there.”
“Maybe that’s why she’s not married.”
“Where’s Tierra? Doesn’t she always show up?”
And, my thoughts:
“This is so awkward.”
“I’m cringing.”
“I like Des. Why didn’t he give Des the rose on their date?”
“Sean really needs to learn how to use sunscreen.”
“He needs to stop leading these girls on!”
“I liked Lesley. Oh well. She deserves better. “
Why do I continue to watch this show, you wonder? It’s entertaining. Everyone has a guilty pleasure

I’m a bit envious that Jordan sat down to watch it with you. Marty doesn’t even like being in the house when I watch it (on my computer nonetheless – it’s not like it’s even that loud!)
I miss living at home when my dad would provide commentary throughout the entire show.

Haha, Jordan was playing games on his computer next to me (we really only have one living space, and one TV with cable), so he was just commenting as he heard things. I’m sure he’ll be happy when we have a house with more space

The sad thing is, more than one girl said something like that!!
The Bachelor is SO my guilty pleasure. I’ve come to the conclusion that it is seriously the TV that makes me the happiest. Sad, but true. And I am a total realist who knows that the producers are editing the crap out of it and half of it is probably fake. But I don’t care. I still love it.
