The Weekend

The weekend flew by! Why is time going by so fast? As I told you on Friday, last week was just a weird week — I felt so tired and blah.  So, of course, I wanted to make the weekend semi-productive and fun!

The highlights of my Saturday included a morning Zumba class, a Chipotle date with my hubby, and Valentine’s Day cookie decorating with my family.

On Sunday, Jordan and I went to church, and then we met our friends at a new-to-us workout class, R.I.P.P.E.D. It was a mix of strength training, kickboxing, various cardio drills and stretching, and it definitely made me sweat! By the time we got home again, it was late in the afternoon and I had yet to do laundry or go grocery shopping. I’m getting better at asking for help around the apartment, so Jordan did some laundry while I went back out to the grocery store. Teamwork :) .

I spent the rest of the night on the couch watching ‘The Wedding Date’ and The Grammy’s. And now…it’s back to work. Lots of things to look forward to this week, including Fat Tuesday, Valentine’s Day, and a three-day weekend (President’s Day) :) .

Have a great Monday!

Do you have any Valentine’s Day plans?

Do you celebrate Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras?

I love that you guys decorated cookies- how fun :)
Good for you for asking for help- I need to get better with that. I try to do EVERYTHING & then I end up getting super stressed….and just crabby :/ Not good.
No Valentines’ day plans- I think we are just going to maybe rent a movie & relax after the little one goes to bed :)

Oh, believe me, I still have my crabby moments. I’m starting to realize that it’s easier to ask for a little help than to do everything by myself while pouting and sighing because I’m “the only one” doing everything ;) .

AWE that looks like so much fun. (I’m a wee bit jealous of all the couples who can celebrate Valentines day together as it’s my favorite) but anyways. Have a good week. This one is full of awesome festivities!

  3. I love trying new workout classes, that one sounds killer!

  4. I love your cute Valentine’s day cookies! They look so tasty :) .

  5. I know I commented on how good these cookies look (on Instagram) but I have to say it again – THESE LOOK DELICIOUS! Is this the recipe you sent me on Facebook? If so, I may have to make some tomorrow :) Also, I love ‘The Wedding Date’ movie; I think Debra Messing is so gorgeous and Dermot Mulroney is really handsome. They have great chemistry :)

I typically don’t celebrate Fat Tuesday but maybe I will this year :)

  6. Mmm those cookies look SO good! Yum!

I’ve been more or less celebrating Mardi Gras since it started on January 6. My roommate hails from New Orleans, so Mardi Gras is a really big deal for her. Her mom sent us a King Cake (whoa. Definitely have been missing out on that my entire life!) and we’ve had beads on our table since we took down our Christmas decorations! I’ve also personally been taking the “Gras” very seriously for the past couple of weeks. I’m giving up sweets for Lent, so I’ve been working on getting in as much as possible before I stop eating dessert for 40 days! Haha. I’ve been doing an excellent job at eating as much chocolate as possible, if I do say so myself ;)

  7. You get President’s Day off? Lucky.

Aw those cookies are so cute!

  9. Those cookies are adorable! That RIPPED class sounds so fun!!

  10. My hubby took the day off on Valentine’s Day because usually he works late. I’m so excited to eat dinner together because he’s cooking!

    I celebrate Paziki day! I’m Polish. :)

  11. That picture of you and Jordan is super cute!
