1. I never really mentioned our NYE party on the blog, but it was fun! I made “Christmas” sangria (red wine, ginger ale, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, oranges and cranberries) for the first time, and it was a hit!
2. After taking a long hiatus from frozen yogurt, I had it twice in one week, at two new-to-me places. Pinkberry was definitely my favorite. I had the chocolate hazelnut, and it tasted just like Nutella! It also happens to be the Whole Foods of frozen yogurt, though. My wallet is thankful that there’s not one closer to home!
3. I took my Garmin out for the first time yesterday. I’ve had a case of cabin fever and needed to get some fresh air, despite the ridiculously cold temps. So far, I think I’m really going to like it, and can’t wait to run with it in the spring!
4. We have yet to take down our Christmas decorations. Seeing as I have plans today and tomorrow, it looks like that’s what we’ll be doing on Sunday. I guess I’m kind of in denial that the holidays are over. So sad.
5. My sleep depends on how quiet my upstairs neighbors are, and last night was the worse night of sleep I’ve had in a long time. I’ve resorted to banging a broomstick on the ceiling, because that seems to make them stop stomping around for all of 3 minutes (better than nothing). If only we could end our lease early with no penalty…
6. Today, I am going wedding dress shopping with my friend! It seems like just yesterday that I was doing the same!
Time to get ready! Have a great day!
What’re you up to today/tonight?

Your sangria looks delish! HA! Remember when Grandma did that at a hotel in Mackinaw because the people were loud? I think you should ding-dong-ditch them. (I’m so mature). Have fun this weekend shopping!!
Hahaha, yes, I do remember that!
Ugh, sorry to hear about the loud neighbors. We have had issues like that in our townhome area and it seems like people just don’t think of others!
Happy to hear you like the watch! Boo to taking down decorations!
I have a run scheduled with friends today then a flight to see my in-laws!
wait those neighbors suck, that is so rude! I am always making sure I am extra quiet once it gets to like 10pm and when I wake up early. jealous of that froyoooo
I haven’t taken down our Christmas decorations either yet and I don’t want to! But I think it’s on my plan to do this weekend too. I plan on playing Holiday music and drinking hot chocolate while doing it just to get a little more Holiday time
The sangria looks delicious! I have had it once before but yours looks decadent
Also, I am considering purchasing a Garmin/Polar USA tracking watch this weekend. Would you recommend the Garmin? I want one to track the calories and distance accurately. I was going to wait for my birthday and ask for one but I keep seeing them all over the blog world and think I’d be really beneficial to own one before July
I like my Garmin because it’s lightweight and easy to use, but the model I have doesn’t have a heart rate monitor to track calories during other workouts besides running. If you’re looking for something that does that, I would look into the Polar too!
I’m so, SO thankful that I have quiet neighbors. I can’t sleep either when things are banging around all over the place, and a lack of sleep kind of turns me into something that can only be described as a pms’ing zombie. Not pretty. I’m planning on taking down my Christmas decorations this weekend too, and while a part of me is sad to see them go, it’ll be nice to get things back to normal.
Happy Friday!
-Sangria…YUM! It looks SUPER GOOD!
(maybe that isn’t such a good thing..haha!)
Hope you have a great weekend!!
-I LOVE FRO-YO! Pinkberry is yummy but my favorite has to be either Menchies or Sweet Frog, I love that you can create/mix it all yourself..
-I hear ya on the post holiday blues…I swear it seems like just yesterday was Halloween..
-No plans tonight just a game night with friends tomorrow!
I haven’t taken my tree down yet either… I was planning to today, but I just don’t want to! I know it must go after this weekend.
That stinks about your neighbors. Are they making a lot of noise during the night then? That’s strange.
I am on the top floor of an apartment complex so I don’t have to deal with much noise, but the lady who lives below me used to bang at me with a broom or something. She actually started banging so much that I made a noise complaint about her because it was becoming ridiculous. She would bang at any thing that made noise, like when my door slammed shut on accident or if I walked from room to room! It was insane. She’s since stopped.
But just be careful with that one. Noise compounding noise doesn’t really solve anything. If anything, just make a complaint about them and deal with the management available to you if you can. Hope something works out and you can get some decent rest! Noisy neighbors are no fun.
Yes, they are! They have a baby, who must be at least 6 months now, but apparently she’s still not sleeping through the night. Therefore, we get to get up when they do
.
Don’t worry, I won’t make the broom thing a common occurrence — I was on my last nerve at that moment. I actually don’t even think it’s their fault, as much as it is the apartment people who built these things with paper thin walls.
I can relate to number 5! I had to move out of my old apartment because my neighbor was up like 24/7.
Ahh, it’s so annoying, isn’t it??
That sangria is pretty!! Tonight we are watching some Duck Dynasty and probably renting a movie. Keeping it low key!
Have fun wedding dress shopping!! I haven’t done that with anyone since I went for myself, over a year ago already. Time really flies!
Oh man, that frozen yogurt looks SO good. I’ve been craving ice cream like it’s my job recently. But husband and I are trying to be frugal this month and cut back on going out to eat. So the fro-yo might have to wait a few weeks. :/
Wow, your frozen yogurt looks so yummy! I also love your pink Garmin. So cute! I love my Garmin so much, and couldn’t run without it. I hope you love yours! I also need to put Christmas away today…sigh.
I love the chocolate hazelnut Pinkberry flavor! Mmmmm. Now I want to go get some RIGHT NOW, haha.
That Xmas Sangria looks awesome! I am going to have to bookmark this so I remember it next year!!
Oooh that sangria looks delicious! I’ve always wanted to make some.
