A Marvelous Weekend

Lots of good things happened around here over the weekend, so I thought I’d participate in Katie’s MIMM for a change .

On Friday night, one of my best friends got engaged! Of course, finding that out was marvelous. It looks like there might be another July wedding in our circle of friends . Nothing is set yet, but I’m looking forward to it, whenever it is!

On Saturday, Jordan and I went to his side of the family’s Christmas lunch, and then I met my sister to get my nails done, both of which were marvelous.

The nail salon was all decorated for Christmas and everyone was in a good mood, so it made me even more excited for Christmas! On Saturday night, Jordan and I took my other sister out to dinner, and then we got hot chocolate and watched ‘How I Met Your Mother,’ which was marvelous. Of course, I fell asleep before we even got through one episode, but I’ll just have to catch up another time!

On Sunday, Jordan and I went to church together before we went our separate ways to get things done. I braved Target to get some last minute grocery/stocking stuffer shopping done, then cleaned the apartment so it’d be nice and sparkling for Christmas. And Jordan — well…he went to the movies to see ‘The Hobbit.’ I kind of like having the apartment to myself when I’m cleaning, so I didn’t mind that he got out of doing chores… this time . And a clean apartment is always marvelous, in my opinion.

Today will be full of gift wrapping and time with family, so I’m going to get off of my computer and enjoy it. I won’t be back until after Christmas, so have a great one!
