Girls run in my family. I’ve talked about my sisters and cousin several times on the blog, but I also have six more cousins who are girls. Jordan also happens to have two sisters. As you can imagine, choosing my bridesmaids was quite easy. Because I have so many girls in my family, I knew that my bridesmaids would only consist of family. I’m so happy that these girls were a part of my special day!
Both of my sisters, Hilary and Molly, were my maids of honor. There was no way that I could choose one over the other.
They (along with my mom) were my lifesavers when it came to the wedding details. They made all of the little details come to life. I’m an idea person, but they are the ones who turned those ideas into something tangible, and I am so grateful for it
.
And then there’s my cousin, Lauren. I was a bridesmaid in Lauren’s wedding nearly a year ago, and there was no way that I wasn’t going to include her in my own big day.
Lauren and I were born only 8 days apart, so we did a lot together growing up. Every summer, she would spend a week with our family, and then I would spend a week with her. While in college, our lives became busy, we had jobs, and it was more difficult to get together, but in the past couple of years we’ve been fortunate to see each other more frequently — in fact, I’m going to see her again this weekend! Lauren was also a huge help during the wedding planning process. Having been there herself, she had a ton of helpful tips, and being the crafty person that she is, she even made our cake topper!
It was important that Jordan’s sisters be a part of the bridal party, as well. Family is important to both of us, and I couldn’t imagine not having them up there with us.
How cute are they? It’s hard to believe that I’ve gained two more sisters since getting married. I started dating Jordan when Bailey and Mallory were in elementary school, so it’s been fun to see them grow up over the years.
Last but not least, it was important to me to have flower girls on our big day — probably because they make such a cute addition to the bridal party
.
We had three flowers girls, two of my cousins, and one of Jordan’s. We didn’t want to leave any of the little girls out
. They were all nervous, but so well-behaved!
In fact, I think the flower girls were better behaved than the groomsmen. But more on that later
.
To be continued…

It’s posts like this that always make me wish I had sisters!!
Ps. I LOVE the colour of the dresses!! Almost a hot pink/fuscia blend? Hot fuschia? Regardless of the name, it’s gorgeous on all of them and the cut is great too!
Aw, yes, it is nice having sisters. Yep, the dresses are called fuchsia, even though I think they just look like hot pink!
Wow that is a lot of sisters!! I just have one sister in law!
I know, it is!
I’m so jealous of all the girls you have in your family. I have no sisters & my husband has one sister that didn’t even want to come to the wedding, so she protested by wearing this thing that looked like a cargo net over her dress….but I digress!
What a beautiful shade of pink!! I am in love with it!
Aw, it is nice…but I’m sorry that your husband’s sister wouldn’t come to your wedding! Some people…
I love that you’re recapping your wedding
Looking forward to some more posts!
awww so cute! I love that your bridal party is family! that is so nice!
PS: Love the pink dresses!
I’m loving the recaps! The dresses you picked out for your bridesmaids are stunning! If I was doing a long dress something like that would be perfect, but I already had mine order cute short dresses in a teal.
I LOVE the pink bridesmaids dresses! And wow you and your sisters look a lot alike!
Thank you! We get that a lot
.
I absolutely love the bridemaids’ dresses. The color is beautiful and I love the look of a longer dress! You’re lucky to have so many girls in your family. I don’t have any sisters!
they are all so cute!! and y’all look so gorgeous.
Love the idea of two bridesmaids!!
