Wedding Recap: The Rehearsal

Now that I have all of the photos back from the photographer, I’d like to start recapping my wedding weekend! Before I get into the wedding details, I want to start back at the beginning — the day of the rehearsal!

On the day of the wedding rehearsal, my sisters and I were up and out the door by 9:00 am to grab coffee from Dunkin Donuts and go to our nail appointments. I was so glad that we made appointments, because there were three other bridal parties in the salon that day — apparently we picked a popular weekend!

After getting our nails done, my sisters and parents went to the reception venue to check on everything, and Jordan and I went to pick up our cake and have lunch together. It was nice to have an afternoon together before things got busy.

Oh, and, my eyes were bigger than my stomach. Because of nerves, I hadn’t eaten much in a couple of days, and I was hungry, but I still ended up taking most of that home :) . It’s hard to eat when you’re anticipating the biggest day of your life!

After lunch, I went back home to try to take a nap, but I didn’t get much sleep (I didn’t sleep much that entire week!). And before I knew it, it was time to get ready for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner!

We stopped by the reception venue on the way to the church to see how everything looked when it was set up. Everything looked so pretty; it was just how I had envisioned it! Feeling relieved that everything looked good, we made our way to the church for the rehearsal.

We ran through the ceremony twice, and everything went smoothly, but it was an emotional night. I made the mistake of looking at my grandma, who was especially sad that my grandpa wasn’t there. I started crying, my aunt started crying, my cousin started crying, and needless to say, things got emotional. Luckily, we got it all out at the rehearsal and we were able to stay a little more composed on the day of the wedding!

After the rehearsal, we headed to Charbonos for the rehearsal dinner. Jordan’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner and I had no idea what to expect, but everything was very nice! We ate, drank and socialized; and the bridal party opened their gifts.

The flower girls were thrilled with their Build-A-Bears :) .

After dinner, Jordan and I took a group over to see our apartment, and we ended the night with frozen yogurt. I was sad to say goodbye to Jordan at the end of the night, but so anxious and excited for what was ahead! In the morning, I would be a bride!

To be continued…

I went with gel nail polish! I went to Ivy Nails in Brownsburg. I made an appointment for my sisters and I, which was a good thing because there were a lot of bridal parties in there that day, but they were so accommodating and even let us come in before the salon was supposed to open! They lasted throughout my honeymoon, too, so I was happy :) .
