This little survey has been circulating the blog world. Since it’s Friday and I’m a sucker for surveys, I couldn’t pass this one up. Enjoy!
A-Avocados. If they weren’t so expensive, I would eat one everyday! I don’t think I know how to buy them at the right time, though. Mine are always a little brown when I cut them open.
B- Books. When I was in elementary school, I was a huge bookworm. Not much has changed today; I just need to watch less TV and read more often.
C- Chocolate. Preferably of the dark variety. I mean, I put it in my oatmeal. You can’t get more
addicted obsessed than that.
D- Dating. My husband, that is. We’re trying our best to be financially responsible adults, but we’re also allowing ourselves one date night a week. It’s a nice compromise, I think :).
F- Family. It goes without saying, I love my family. I like living less than 15 minutes away from both my parents and Jordan’s. And thanks to technology, I still get to talk to my relatives in Michigan on a regular basis, which is nice.
G- Girlfriends. I love spending time with Jordan, but it’s also nice to have girlfriends around when I need a little girl time.
H- Home. I can be a homebody at times. I enjoy having a place where I can go to relax if I’ve had a bad day, or if I’m tired, or if I just want to be comfortable. Thankfully, our apartment is slowly starting to feel more like home.
I- Ice cream. It’s been my favorite dessert for as long as I can remember.
J- Jordan. If you’re going to be with me, you’re going to need a lot of patience. Thankfully, he has it. I love him :).
K- Kids. I’m not quite ready to have my own yet, but I have always loved them.
L- Learning. I was one of those kids who enjoyed going to class in college. Yes, I might’ve complained about the homework and the studying, but I loved participating in class discussions and taking notes during lectures. I miss that.
M- Making dinner. Before I got married, I never cooked dinner. I never really had a reason to, unless it was something simple for one. But now? I love it. I get the majority of my recipes from other blogs; Jessica has some of my favorites.
N- Nectarines. They’re one of my favorite summertime fruits!
O- Outdoors. I am a summer girl. I love being outside whenever I can — soaking up the sun, playing in the water, walking in the park. I don’t want fall to come too quickly!
P- Pink. It’s one of my favorite colors (the other is green).
Q- Quality time. Whether it is quality time with Jordan, quality time with my friends, or quality time with my family, I appreciate it when I can get it.
R- Rain. Normally, I’d pick a sunny day over a rainy day, but this summer we’ve been in a severe drought. Like, so bad, that we pray for rain before we eat dinner. Thankfully, we’re finally getting the rain that we need. Also, I think that a rainy day is a great excuse to make a batch of cookies, am I right ;)?
T- Teeth. I like going to the dentist. I had my braces on twice, for a total of 4 years, so I feel like I need to care about taking care of my teeth!
U- “Under the Sea.” As in, ‘The Little Mermaid.’ It has always been my favorite Disney Princess movie. I even had a Little Mermaid themed room when I was little.
V- Vacationing. Who doesn’t love vacations? Maui is at the top of my list of favorite vacation destinations, but I’ll always have a soft spot for Mackinaw City and Mackinaw Island, Michigan too.
W- Wedding photos. You might’ve noticed, we got ours back this week. I can’t wait to start recapping the day!
X- Xylophone. In fifth grade, I played percussion, so I learned how to play the xylophone. While I’m not really itching to get back into that, I would like to learn how to play the drums!
Y- Yoga. If you would’ve asked me how I felt about yoga a year ago, I would’ve said I hated it. But now, I need it. Training for a half marathon = lots of sore muscles. Since I’m not a huge fan of stretching on my own, I’m going to start doing more yoga on my cross training days. Who knows, maybe I’ll love it by the end of these 12 weeks!
Z- Zip-lining. I had a blast with Jordan zip-lining in Maui, and I’d love to do it again in another location.
Now it’s your turn. Tell me a few of your favorite “simple things”!
